actress liz taylor died today at 79. she was married 9 times. i think bad is one of her ex's.

very sad.
Is her dying the sad part or her being married to bad?

LOL Mags...actually Liz Taylor, 8 marriages to 7 men (Richard Burton 2x) gimmee a break.  She is not someone to worry about to me, I wouldn't pay to see her movies and honestly have only seen Gone with the Wind.

She would fall under Catfish's version of a farm hunny...as in easiest girls out there.  She was an actress, big whoop.  Heros die every day and don't get the press but cause she acted...whoa, stop the presses.  whatever...for all we know she is roasting right now and not in a comedy central way...or she could be flying with angels.  Really don't care.

More important news to me, Iowa clears everyone in the rhabdo case, it was just a matter of overexerted workouts which they will cut from the program.  But where are the front page stories retracting the mass exodus lines and the support for committing crimes and wanting someone to be fired?

Oh yeah that's Dodd who would have to write that, fat chance him admitting his errors, he is a media person.  What a piece of trash writer to do that and then not man up and admit he is wrong.

BOTH. she wanted to you all courarish and marry hawkeye, but mrs. hawkeye threatened to kick her old arse so she went to bad's house instead.

hawk--all kidding aside, she did a ton of charity work with AIDS research and kids. just saying.

Chief - I just wish he would make up his mind, he has been waffling for days.  The key is though he made overtures to Arkansas a few times and they didn't want him.  Now they do?  Sorry I would rather be in Columbia and 2 hours away from KC and StL than in Fayetteville and hours away from anywhere...guess he is not far from Tulsa there, but still.

I think Mizzou will make an offer to Cuonzo Martin.  I don't think he is ready...I have heard Brad Stephens maybe (Butler Coach) but he is not ready either.  Keno Davis was let go by Providence, Pat Knight (nah), Pelfrey?? just swap coaches?  There are others out there, a lot of good assistants and even assts in the NBA ranks.

Just my 2 cents.

nice win by ND over the lady vols last night

ND is set up well in that championship cup I bet that totals all sports...fencing?  womens' bball, mens did well, football, ice hockey, not sure what else they do well but usually Stanford or some school like that is close the top.  heck if they do well in baseball...

I am super interested in this whole Matt Painter to Mizzou story...will be fun to see.

I go Butler over VCU, Kentucky over UConn and poor Butler, I see Kentucky beating you in the finals.

I won't believe that one until it happens.  Heck, his agent might have started the rumor to squeeze some money out of Purdue.

ND is #2 in lax to Syracuse.
ND gals will humble Baylor.

Kentucky Wildcats take the NC for boys, Calipari is a cheater but he wins when the chips are down.

Calhoun is a proven cheater for sure, it even says so in NCAA findings.  I hope Kentucky smokes UConn.  I would love to see Butler win it all though.

The papers here are saying Matt Painter to Mizzou is a done deal...who knows.  No press conferences scheduled yet.

Opening Day is tomorrow...finally.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch is reporting that Painter will become Missouri's coach.

I'm surprised.  Very surprised.

Lots of folks had him coming then staying, ultimately he stayed after some boosters ponied up, but terms of the new deal were not disclosed.   I didn't realize the he was only 40, figured he was a bit older.  So Mizzou continues to search, close but no ceegar...

Catfish, enjoy the game my friend!  This reminds me of the football commercial.

There was no reason for him to even consider Mizzou unless it was money. i did not think he wanted to leave, even with the rumors about AD disagreement.
