I'll actually calll it the way I see it and the way it is. Having 6 players drafted is good and Boise St fans have alot to be proud of. The majority of us that give Boise crap are giving you crap, not them. Yes, they need to play a tougher schedule and until they do we will always wonder how good they are or can be. Please no more rhetoric from you in your response. It is what it is. A good progrma with too many questions surrounding them.

Even with a weak big east I will be watching to see some things that might change my opinions. It wil certainly be an interesting year for the Broncos with all those departing seniors. 2012 college football season can't get here quicj enough.

These Boise Threads have a life of their own and never seem to quit.

Smiles, your definately passionate and persistent, I give you credit for that.

This year's reloading will test to see if BSU has the staying power that I think it does. I am looking forward to the opener against Michigan State very much.

I like Coach Pete's philosophy of we can only control what we can and not to worry about anyone else. I think Boise is in a tough spot and I don't see them getting out of that spot easily to upgrade their OOC.

ESPN will be the deal maker as they have been in the past for Boise State, our program offers no incentive for the NC contenders to play us with much more risk that rewards. The way I see it is Boise and ESPN will have success scheduling the top 8-20 ranked teams for seson openers for that potential boost for a run at the BCS bowls for the AQ teams. It is an agressive move that those teams need to beat a ranked and respected Boise State. The 1-5 ranked teams don't need any tough OOC teams since the are in defensive posture and trying not to fall instead of climb.

In my humble opinion it is all about positioning in the rankings and where teams figure they can make their move in the polls, the money factor and exposure (ESPN) and not who is afraid to play who.

Boise State is now a perinennial top 25 team even though the lost a ton of talent this last season with six draft choices and two more free agents signing yesteday (Moore to the Lions and Chase Baker to the Vikings) many preseason polls have Boise state in the top 20 again.

Once the Big East transition is complere it is hard to tell how BSU's OOC will look. I think they will continue schedule as difficult as possible and then fill in the home games with less than desirable teams when the PAC 12 does not step up to the plate. So far the PAC 12 has been a great partner in the home/home series.

OU had 7 Drafted and will be in the Top 5 this season.

I do recall saying last season that Kellen Moore the Best QB in Boise history would go undrafted.  Boy oh boy was I chastised by Smiles/someday and company.

At that time I said that these guys dont have to the ability to see what everyone else sees when it comes to the boise team, as they are blinded by want/need/desire/hope.

I said Clearly, Kellen Moore is a good little college QB, but he throws loft balls, he is slow, small and weak (his arms look like toothpicks). He will be undrafted and end up joining a team to perhaps hold the clipboard on the sideline as a backup.

Man did I catch hell for that.  Non-stop barrage of, "Kellen WILL be Drafted", "Kellen WILL go NO less than the 2nd round", "Kellen is a mirror image of Drew Brees".

Yeah no.

My, do you have a selective memory, Spinny boy.  I will grant you this, I was surprised that he didn't get drafted, but he'll get a chance in Detroit, which is all anyone can ask.

Most of us pretty much figured that he would not be a top rounder, and I'll challenge you to find where I ever said otherwise.  But hey, I know you far too well to ever expect you to be honest, objective or anywhere close to being fair whenever you speak of Boise State, Spinny.  You wouldn't be the person I love to taunt if you were.

All of your criticisms are correct in one sense, Spinny.  But we Boise fans are used to it.  You bet, Kellen Moore rewrote the Washington State high school football record book.  His Dad, Tom Moore, turned tiny Prosser, Washington into a perennial powerhouse as head coach winning 21 league titles, and 4 state championships.  With Kellen at the helm, they won 34 games, and he was the player of the year in the state, and a high school All American.  But no one wanted him, all of the PAC schools weren't interested, too small, bad mechanics, too slow, etc, etc.  Chris Petersen saw something he liked, and took a chance.  The rest is history.

So fast forward to 2012, history is repeating itself.  If anyone in America has a shot at silencing the naysayers, it will be Kellen Moore.  None of us are expecting him to become the franchise QB, but hey, you never know.  Stafford might get hurt, and Moore might be forced into a game, and knowing him, he'll pull out a win, and another, and another.

Who knows, that's why you play the game.

But it is absolutely reassuring to see you vent your spleen in proclaiming yourself correct.  After all, like you, even a broken clock is correct twice a day.

Enjoy it while you can.  I'm planning on being in Detroit for the last preseason game, and then in E. Lansing to see how the new look Broncos will fare against MSU.  It might be a tough game, you don't replace the guys we lost easily.  And let me guess, you come on a crow like a fool claiming that I predicted a huge Boise win and try to rub it in if they don't.

That's why I love to have you around, my old foolish friend.  It really doesn't matter what I say, you'll figure out a way to show some disrespect.  It's all good, we appreciate all of the "love."

Oh but did you not imply he would be a high round pick? did you not on another thread say quote " I would take him over Tannehill" by saying that your implying hes better than a first round draft pick right? Tannehill was projected a first round draft pick for over a month now, so your saying Moore is better than a 1st rounder?

I said Clearly, Kellen Moore is a good little college QB, but he throws loft balls, he is slow, small and weak (his arms look like toothpicks).

Spinkiller, I'd keep these kind of comments about Kellen Moore out of my mouth as a Choklahoma fan if I were you, especially considering that Landry Jones has been your quarterback for the last 3 years and unfortunately for your team will be again this coming season.  Kellen Moore was an unbelievable college football quarterback, one of the best to ever lace them up.

You want to know what I saw in Kellen Moore during his time in Boise?  I saw a winner who dominated the competition and played big in huge games.  I saw a kid with great anticipation and pin point accuracy.  I saw a leader.  I saw a kid who could read defenses like a book and who was unflappable under pressure.  I saw a kid who was always prepared and exhibited great decision making ability.  I saw a kid with an incredibly quick release who never took sacks and put the ball to a perfect spot pretty much every single time.  I saw a clutch quarterback who made huge plays in huge situations.  I saw a kid who lost 3 games during his 4 years of starting by a combined 5 points, most of those losses due to terrible field goal kicking (actually all 3 of them really).

You know what I see when I watch Landry Jones?  I see a kid who makes terrible decisions.  I see a kid who lacks leadership abilities and charisma.  I see a kid who looks like a deer in headlights in games.  I see a kid who looks to me like he doesn't have a competitive bone in his body.  I see a kid who plays like crap in big games (just like his team for the most part).  I see a kid who has already thrown 41 picks in 3 seasons.

And as much as I can't stand OU it was so incredibly sad to see a leader, competitior, person, and amazing WR like Ryan Broyles go down.  And look at what happened to Landry after that happened.  Geez shouldn't a so called great team like OU have the depth to deal with the loss of one WR?  But after that it somehow got even worse.  Pick after pick after pick after no touchdown passes after pick after no touchdown passes after pick.  Goodness gracious it was pathetic, so God awful.

Now if Jared freaking Zebransky (Boise's worst QB in 15 years by a mile) can come in a shred that vaunted OU defense to the tune of 43 points in the Fiesta Bowl what in the world would a QB like Kellen Moore have done to them?!  And I know Mike Stoopid's back now as the DC and we'll see what happens but that OU defense has sucked ever since Stoopid left for U of A and Venables took over in 2003.  Sucked!  Just one case in point would be the 41 points they gave up to a pitful Texas Tech Red Raiders team last year........in regulation.....in Norman.....at homecoming.....against a horrible team that won one other Big 12 game all season!  Now you tell me what Kellen Moore would have done to that joke of a defense?  He would have absolutely dissected them.  I would have killed to have seen him have the chance because in my opinion he would have destroyed that weak azz defense.

So when your QB is Landry Jones and ours was Kellen Moore don't even go there with bullcap comments like you stated above...and thank your lucky stars that you didn't have to deal with him while he was at Boise because it would have been ugly......really ugly for Choklahoma, Spinkiller.

Boise4Life you know what i see when i look at Kellen Moore. A QB that i ranked #11 in FBS yardage leaders.

Case Keenun 5631yds-48 tds
Brandon Weeden 4727-37tds
Landry Jones 4463-29tds
#11 Kellen Moore 3800-43tds

Now why is it if Moore is so great that he did less last season the these QBs, and he did it playing weaker compitition. The best part is the NFL want Weeden But Keenen and Moore more less had to walk on to the NFL. I would be willing to bet that Jones gets drafted next season.

Probably about time for a vacation, or a demise, or a blizzard, isn't it?  Wink

Here we go again with yet another Attempt to make boise bigger than they are. It's becoming a Yawning experience quite frankly.

Boise isn't comparable to OU little fantasy boy.  Get it? Boise isn't even comparable to Texas Tech. Hell Boise isn't comparable to Boston Frickin College or Ole Miss.

As for "what you saw" in your little undrafted QB.  I couldn't give two lesser craps what YOU saw.  What YOU saw was a Mirage of a little guy playing against teams with Jr. High defensive backs.

What I saw was a dude that got lit up by Nevada.  I saw a dude that couldn't even win at home against TCfrickinU and was BESTED by their FRESHMAN QB.

So whatever YOU saw, means you saw: NO MWC Championship and another Las Vegas bowl.

Do you know anything about college football outside of your own team?  Well that and making it your mission to hate on Boise.  Casey Pachall was a REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE QB last year.

And "TCfrickinU" is one of the best teams in the country.  And they, like Boise are on the way up while your Choklahoma Sooners are on their way down.  TCU finished with their worst ranking in since 2007 at 13th in the country with an extremely young team in a rebuilding year!

And like the commitment you've made to trash on Kellen Moore, I'd keep "TCfrickinU" out of my mouth if I were you, Spinkiller.  I'm sick about losing them as a rival.  All 4 of our games in recent years have been fantastic.  But now your getting them in your conference and unlike in past seasons as Gary Patterson was building his program into the national powerhouse that they've become, they'll be playing you on a level playing field, without the deck stacked against them by having to go to Norman every single time that they play you.  And you're going to see that as long as Coach Patterson is there you're going to be on the bad side of that rivalry Chokelahoma fan.  And it starts next year at Amon G. Carter stadium.  I personally can't wait to see it all unfold.

Nah, we own TCU.  We beat them like a stepchild the year they beat your little boiseites. We will beat them like a stepchild again and again and again.  As will Texas.  Texas is 20-0 vs TCU goofball.

TCU's rivals will be Baylor and SMU, not OU or Texas my jibberish slobbering friend.

TCU finished with their worst ranking in since 2007 at 13th in the country with an extremely young team in a rebuilding year!

Again chump, OU beat the Best team TCU has ever fielded, by 30.  Moron.

I'm sick about losing them as a rival.  All 4 of our games in recent years have been fantastic.
This just in, playing a team 4 times in 30 years is now a "Rivalry" for Boise.  Very nice. Idiot.

building his program into the national powerhouse that they've become
Bwahhhaahaha. TCU is less a powerhouse now than they were 80 years ago clown.

And it starts next year at Amon G. Carter stadium.
OU has played TCU since the 1930's nimrod.

Boise4Lifen your right TCU is on their way up and probaly passing Boise st up. Did you look at what they have to play at the end of TCU schedule. Okla.st, West V., Kan st., Texas, Then OU. Boise st has never and probaly won't go up against a lineup like that.
