Wow, not only was the great state of Louisianna unaware of football or calendars before this century, it's apparent that the english language hasn't caught on yet either. Where in anything that has been posted is there anything that would indicate anyone riding 'Bama's coattails?

Face it, when talking about all-time great football programs, LSU is not in the conversation. In comparison to Alabama and USC, LSU is Boise St. Your on a nice little run, but you're just not a big boy program yet. Don't worry though, get yourself about 5 or 6 more national championships and you might get to take the training wheels off.

And yet we OWN the Pac-10.  Eleven in a row and counting and 2 beat downs of the Pac Champion.  You're only recourse, as so many other Pac fans fave done, is talk about LSU's record versus Bama last century. 

This century, LSU is tied with UF & Bama for most BCS National Championships and we have won more SEC Titles this century than either of them and have the edge face to face with both.  This is our century....bow down!

Haha the century is only 11 football season old....guess saying century some how makes you feel better. Bama owns LSU all-time.....All-Time does have a ring to it.

Au contraire mon frere Bummer 72.  This century, LSU has 4 SEC Titles versus Bama has 1.  LSU is 9-4 verus Bama this century.  I will agree that as long as you have Darth Vader as your coach, it's going to be a tough win every time.  However, LSU has a winning record against Little Napolean as well.

It's funny to hear some fans brag about accomplishments under the guise of the " BCS " after 2013 the term " BCS " will be just blip of the grand scheme of things, I wouldn't be surprised if there is an asterisk next to all NC due to the shortest lived format that is the
" BCS " in CFB


Just a reminder, CFB started long before 1998.

Remember ole whodem used to hang his hat on LSU being the only team to have two BCS titles. Well florida won two an now bama so the mighty LSU fan lost that as an arguing point. I do find it funny however that you keep saying BCS as if CFB started in 1998. I understand as an LSU fan this is your best stretch of football ever for you but teams dont get to 800 plus wins by just counting the BCS period. Teams dont get to 14 NCs by just counting the BCS period (3 NC for LSU). Teams dont get to 26 conf titles by just counting the BCS period. Teams dont get to 50 plus bowl appearance by just counting the BCS period.


Stats an history didnt start over with the BCS. Just like it didnt start over when the AP poll started. Just like it didnt start over when they decided to announce NC after the Bowls. Just like it didnt start over when they started the bowl coalition which was before the BCS. CFB always goes thru eras an change but the records continue on. Only do you try to squeeze the accomplishments of your team into a 11 year period. It makes it look like LSU was garbage before 1998 when really they had some good teams sprinkled in there.


Eithe way when a fan of CFB thinks of the SEC they think of Alabama......not LSU.

Apparently, they also lack dictionaries in Louisianna. If they did have dictionaries there, you'd be able to look up the definition of cheating and learn that USC did not cheat.

So your on a football board propping your football team up by the rest of the sports LSU fields. So bama has 14 of their 18 titles in football while LSU has 3 of its 46. Not a strong showing for the LSU football team.

I do have to give LSU credit though...They have done very well at Track which seems to be the majority of their NCs.... Thank good there isnt a 50 yard line on the track or it could get embarrassing....

You are correct.

Obviously virtually everyone has gotten off point a bit.  I will concede the Pac-12 + Bama is a strong conference and I would love to see Bama go to the Pac-13 so that USC would have a legit football competitor in conference.

For this year, no one will beat LSU.  We're strong everywhere and I predict Zach will wind up 1st team SEC QB and be a 1st round selection in next draft after we finish 14-0.  It's a great time to be an LSU TIger!
