I just returned from having my 3rd (or was it fourth?) & final ciggypoo of the day (just can't seem to totally stop burnin' those boogers) &, whilst outside, I heard a familiar voice coming from the parking lot. The lot is for the many tenants that live across the street. It was a guy who calls himself "Rock". He was shouting "stop, stop"! Another voice (a female one!) was cussing-up a storm...there was the repeating sounds of thwack! & thump, too. I peeked around the corner of my basement apartment's porch.
Rock was on his back. A woman was kicking him in his ribs and calling him every foul name that you could think of!
What to do? Nothing? Something?
Looking around, I noticed that I had left a long "digging spade" standing near a flowerbed where, earlier, I'd done some light garden tasks.
I ambled on over to it, grabbed it and gently flung it about 75 feet from the embattled pair.
It musta startled them. It was loud & the noise reverberated off of the nearby buildings.
They froze. They looked around as they dusted themselves off and Rock used the moment to flee.
Is anyone handicapping MLB playoffs. I believe there are more teams capable of winning it all than there have been in quite a few years. I'm pulling for the NL and wouldn't mind the title returning to the NL East.
Hiya Merc, Abez, Jimbo, Bear, and Tiger. Stayed up way too late at a concert last night and paid for it all day. Worth it? definitely, but not eager to repeat it soon. This teach needs her sleep!
