LSU, Okla. State atop my AP ballot

Hahaha.  LSU still whining about Southern Cal like a jilted lover.  Why do you care?  It's been nearly 10 years since SC got screwed and LSU ended up playing Oklahoma.  Let it go, man.  Let it go.

LSU fan is bitter that they "only" got the BCS trophy in 2003. You should just be happy you got to play in the game period and didn't have to play against USC (4-0 vs. SEC since 2002) Let's look at the BCS for 2003. AP and USA Today/ESPN Polls USC 1,1 LSU 2,2 OKla, 3,3 Now computer rankings  Oklahoma 1,1,1,2,5,1,1 LSU 2,2,2,1,2,2,2 USC 3,3,3,3,1,4,3 Toss worst ranking and avg.  OK 1.17 LSU 1.83 USC 2.67. There were two problems here. First the two polls were averaged treating them as only one poll not two this gave them equal weight with the computer rankings 50-50 They should have added all 3 together. They fixed this the next year because they saw how ridiculous they looked having #1 team in both polls not in NCS Game. If this was the case it would have been #1 USC vs. #2 LSU. Second nearly all the computer ratings are jacked. That got proved the next year 2004, when 4 out of 6 computers had Okla. #1 and USC #2. We all know what happened (most of us do) USC 55-19  But enough!
Why does LSU fan care about USC having 2003 AP championship according to most of you LSU 'Bama SEC fan etc. the AP National Championship isn't a National Championship even though it's been awarded since the 1930's.
But hey Barkley's coming back along with about 15 or 16 of the 22 starters that were 10-2  to take care of unfinished business. Just get into BCS game against any SEC team hopefully LSWho and shut these Sun Belt, MAC, FCS, can't travel out of the south playing Schedule Easy Cupcakes up.

If Bama beats you and the AP throws LSU a bone like jock sniffer Danielson suggests and gives the AP title to LSU, will you accept it?

College Football has more in common with Women's Figure Skating than it does with other real college and pro sports, where the champions are determined on the field and not by style points.  Judges should determine if Michelle Kwan wins a gold, NOT who gets to play for the football championship.  Let me know when we get a playoff, because until then I don't care about mythical championships.  I'll still watch good college games, but that won't include an LSU-Alabama snoozer.

MSU had their chance and didn't come through - that is on them.  But this argument is just silly.  UofM beat both of those teams at home (they only had 4 total games away from Ann Arbor and went 2-2).  MSU lost to both of those teams on the road.  UofM lost to Iowa on the road - which MSU beat on the road.  And there is that little game where MSU actually bean UofM.  MSU didn't do what they needed to do - but please stop trying to justify UofMs placement in a BCS bowl by making schedule comparisons.

Penn State was a good team until the Joe Pa scandal.  If you want to give excuses for teams loosing games they should have won, lets run them down.

Good call, Ok state played more winning teams. Beating Penn state should be an expected win by any middle level team. Considering who the Sugar Bowl picked, it looks like the BCS is prejudice against small market schools. And if the roles where reverse, and it was Oklahoma or Alabama that had to be choosen, you can bet they would have picked the sooners.

Still can't believe that U$C is even ranked in the Top 10 for their season.  They played 2 ranked teams and are 1-1 (while LSU played 8 and won them all) and lost (per usual) to an unranked team and are rewarded for cheating by being ranked in the Polls.  They are consistantly the most overranked team in all of CFB, in the Recruiting rankings and by the Press.  I thought this is why the BCS was invented to prevent bias.

Also, Michigan or V. Tech doesn't deserve to be playing in the Sugar Bowl.  Would rather see a more deserving Boise St, Kansas St. or someone else play.  Michigan is another team that receives Preferential Treatment from the Media.

According to everybody's best guess OSU wouldn't have won their conference were they in the same as LSU. OSU should get a bonus for winning, but I'm pretty sure it shouldn't be the end all and be all. If you didn't win your division because you lost to the #1 team, someone who didn't have to play anybody with any defense isn't necessarily more deserving of anything are they?
